The "Urban Education Consultation Group" (U.E.C.G) is led by Patrick Chatman who has over 30 years experience as an urban educator. Mr. Chatman has served in various roles as an urban educator for the largest public school district in Wisconsin. Such roles include: Paraprofessional Assistant, Special Education Teacher, Assistant Principal, Principal, District Discipline Manager, Instructional Leadership Director and Regional Superintendent.
As principal, Mr. Chatman has led a school with a special education student population that fluctuated between 33%-40%, to a "Distinguished" and "Gold Level" status (as recognized by the Wisconsin Department Of Public Instruction) in the areas of P.B.I.S. (Positive Behavioral Interventions & Supports) and R.T.I. (Response To Intervention for behavior, reading and mathematics). The "Urban Education Consultation Group" is committed to share leadership strategies and best practices that improve student achievement and school/district culture.
The" Urban Education Consultation Group" (U.E.C.G) specializes in providing professional development in the area of administrative leadership with the ultimate goal of building capacity within the whole school staff so that student achievement and school climate are positively impacted. We believe that leadership matters and everyone has a role to play in the field of education.
We also offer professional development in the following areas: Culturally Responsive Teaching, Building Positive School Climate/Culture, Response To Intervention, and Instructional Technology.
